EV AND ROBOTAXI CHARGING · NASHUA, NH
EV Charger and Robotaxi Charging Installation in Nashua, NH
Wins Parking designs, permits, builds and operates EV chargers and fleet charging depots for Nashua lots. New Hampshire's second-largest city lists only 26 public Level 2 and 6 DC fast ports with the Department of Energy, so a medical, retail or apartment lot that adds charging fills a clear gap.

The chargers
What EV chargers does Wins install for Nashua parking lots?
We install both types the Department of Energy describes: Level 2 at 2.9 to 19.2 kW for cars parked a while, and DC fast at up to 500 kW, good for 100 to 200+ miles in about half an hour.
Level 2 fits Nashua's hospital staff lots, downtown apartments, Rivier-area housing and office parks off the Everett Turnpike. Fast charging fits retail plazas on Amherst Street and Daniel Webster Highway, where shoppers stay 30 to 60 minutes, and fleet yards along the turnpike. With only 6 public fast ports in the city, a well-placed retail site can stand out.
Wins takes it from drawings through operation. Every session feeds the software behind our plate cameras, so one report covers both what the chargers earn and what the parking earns.
The depot
What does a robotaxi charging depot in Nashua need?
Enough fast-charging power for a fleet's daily miles, an Eversource service agreement, staging lanes, cleaning bays, a passenger loading area, access control and cameras. As of Oct 13, 2026 no operator had named Nashua.
Boston, about 35 miles south, is the closest place with announced activity: Waymo wrote on Feb. 5, 2026 that it is coming back to test there, while noting that Massachusetts has yet to legalize fully autonomous vehicles. That is only regional context. No company has announced Nashua plans, and Wins has no robotaxi work in New Hampshire.
If a fleet ever needs a home near the state line, a depot-ready lot has the power capacity for fast chargers, room to stage vehicles off the street, an enclosed bay for winter cleaning and a loading area away from the chargers. More on each element is in our pages on autonomous vehicle parking, future-proof lot design and EV and AV deployment.
The network
How many public EV charging ports does Nashua have?
26 Level 2 and 6 DC fast ports across 12 public stations with Nashua addresses, per Department of Energy data pulled Oct 13, 2026.
Manchester, the larger city just up the Merrimack River, has 37 Level 2 and 34 fast ports, and Hooksett on I-93 has 38 fast ports by itself. Nashua sits on the Everett Turnpike rather than I-93, and its public charging is thin by comparison: about one Level 2 port per 3,560 residents.
The EV charging ports database refreshes Nashua's figures from the same federal source every month.
The power
Which utility serves Nashua chargers, and what programs does it run?
Eversource supplies Nashua. Its business charging page lists offers by town; as of Oct 13, 2026 we found no open commercial charger rebate for New Hampshire to confirm, so each address gets checked.
New Hampshire's federal corridor program, NEVI Phase II, drew on more than $17 million for DC fast stations along major routes, but its proposal window shut on Aug. 21, 2026. A Nashua owner should budget as if no grant is coming unless one is confirmed on paper.
Eversource decides whether a site can take the extra load. We ask for that answer while the plan is still a sketch, because waiting for a bigger transformer can push the opening date.
The code
Which permits and codes apply to EV charging stations in Nashua?
A city electrical permit from Building Safety, wiring by an electrician licensed through the state Electricians' Board, NEC Article 625 and the Access Board's accessible charging guidance.
Converting spaces that a Planning Board approval or waiver counted on may need a new look, and a transformer pad can add site plan review. Nashua publishes no review target for electrical permits; we plan three to six weeks, as an estimate.
Accessible design comes first in our drawings: a flat route, reachable controls and room beside the car for a lift. Disturbing an acre or more adds the EPA's construction permit.
The incentives
Which EV charging incentives are open in New Hampshire?
We could not confirm any for commercial Level 2 as of Oct 13, 2026, and the federal 30C credit cannot be claimed for charging property placed in service after June 30, 2026 (IRS, Instructions for Form 8911).
The cutoff is in the IRS instructions, so chargers going in now earn no federal credit. That leaves a Nashua project to stand on charging fees, idle fees, parking revenue and the value of keeping tenants and customers who drive EVs.
We keep first phases lean as a result: a handful of Level 2 ports on an existing panel, with conduit laid for more. If a program opens later, the extra ports can be added without cutting the lot again.
The budget
What does an EV charger installation cost in Nashua, and how long does it take?
Wins Parking estimates six Level 2 ports at about $25,400 to $57,100 installed in Nashua and two DC fast ports at about $106,000 to $317,000, with no rebate counted.
Three things set the price. The first is distance from the electrical room to the spaces, since saw cuts, conduit and patching are paid by the foot. Next is power: fast chargers almost always need new Eversource service. Last is scheduling, because utility work and the short paving season decide when a lot can be opened and closed.
Timeline, our estimate: 8–16 weeks for Level 2 on an existing panel and 26–52 weeks for fast charging on new service. The ranges scale national per-port costs and AFDC's installation cost guidance by the Manchester-Nashua BEA index of 105.7. Patching has to fit the 4-month warm season.

A Wins Parking estimate, not a quote: Level 2 at $4,000–$9,000 installed per port (U.S. average), scaled by Nashua's BEA cost index of 105.7. Trenching distance, panel and transformer upgrades and utility lead time move it most. The federal 30C credit cannot be claimed for chargers placed in service after June 30, 2026.
The day to day
How are Nashua chargers run day to day?
Through the same system as the parking: Wins sets per-kWh prices and idle fees, monitors every port, keeps EV stalls clear with plate cameras and puts parking and charging on 1 bill a month.
At a retail plaza, idle fees stop a shopper from holding a fast charger for two hours. Our monitoring picks up a station that drops offline, and after snowstorms a technician checks for plow strikes. Each month the owner sees energy sold, charging revenue, parking revenue, uptime per port and citations.
That report is part of our EV charging parking management service and fits with parking management in Nashua when Wins operates the whole lot.
The neighbors
How does Nashua compare with nearby cities for EV charging?
Nashua trails: 26 Level 2 and 6 fast ports, against Manchester's 37 and 34, Portsmouth's 36 and 21 and Dover's 13 and 16, per AFDC data pulled Oct 13, 2026.
Eversource serves every place in this table except Concord, where Unitil is the utility. Each city or town has its own permit office, and none publishes a commercial electrical review target.
| City | Electric utility | Permit office | Review time | Public ports (L2 · DC fast) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nashua, NH (this page) | Eversource | Nashua Building Safety | Not published (Wins estimate: 3–6 weeks) | 26 · 6 |
| Manchester, NH | Eversource | Manchester Building Regulations | Not published (Wins estimate: 3–6 weeks) | 37 · 34 |

| Portsmouth, NH | Eversource | City of Portsmouth | Not published (Wins estimate: 3–6 weeks) | 36 · 21 |
Review times are Wins Parking estimates, since none of these offices posts a target for commercial electrical permits. As of Oct 13, 2026 we found no open commercial charger rebate from either utility in this table. Port counts: AFDC, open public stations.
FAQ
Nashua EV and robotaxi charging: frequently asked questions
Wins Parking. We lay out, permit, install and then operate Level 2 charging for Nashua apartment buildings, with residents paying through the same app as their parking. Our estimate is $4,000–$9,000 per installed Level 2 port.
Wins Parking designs lots a driverless fleet could use, with fast chargers, staging lanes, cleaning bays, passenger loading and controlled gates. No robotaxi company had announced Nashua service as of October 2026, and Wins has no such client in New Hampshire.
26 Level 2 and 6 DC fast ports at 12 public stations, per Department of Energy data pulled Oct 13, 2026.
None we could confirm as open as of Oct 13, 2026. NHDOT's NEVI Phase II program for corridor fast charging stopped taking proposals on Aug. 21, 2026.
Eversource. It approves the added load, and fast chargers usually mean a service upgrade.
No. The 30C credit cannot be claimed for charging property placed in service after June 30, 2026 (IRS, Instructions for Form 8911).
Nashua's Department of Building Safety issues the electrical permit; the installer needs a New Hampshire license, and the work follows NEC Article 625 and Access Board guidance.
We estimate 8 to 16 weeks when Level 2 runs off an existing panel, and 26 to 52 weeks when fast chargers wait on new Eversource service.
